The event is free and open to military and DoD ID card holders (military, dependents, DoD citizens and retirees). Outside guests of DoD ID card holders must have a pass to the special "Rock the Troops" event (see instructions below). All doors at JBPHH will be 100 percent ID checked on the day of the concert. Guests in the vehicle must have a valid military or DoD ID card or a "Rock The Troops" special event pass to gain on-base admission to the concert.

Optionally, military personnel attending in uniform will have special access to the front of the stage. However, the area at the front of the stage is standing room only and is restricted to uniforms only (ie guests, spouses and family members are not allowed in the area, even in tandem).

As a special note: Mr. Johnson mentioned "fatigues" in one of his social media posts, but it actually means "uniforms." However, as this event takes place on a military installation, all applicable uniforms may be worn.

Drivers can enter through one of the main base gates at Joint Base Pearl Harbor-Hickam: O'Malley, Nimitz, Makalapa and Kuntz gates. At the O'Malley gate, concert traffic will be directed to the left lanes directly from the gate to the concert parking lot. Base traffic will be the two lanes on the right as they approach the O'Malley Gate. There will be parking for the disabled with the appropriate sign. All doors will be 100 percent ID. Guests in the vehicle must have a valid military or DoD ID card or a "Rock The Troops" special event pass to gain on-base admission to the concert. Cars will be turned around if all occupants do not have valid credentials or cards to enter. No pedestrians or bicycles allowed through O'Malley Gate.

O'Malley Blvd in front of the flight line and surrounding roads will be closed to traffic on October 22nd from 10 am. at 11:00 p.m.

Parking will be available on and around the flight line. (See map downloads on this page) Parking attendants will be on hand to direct traffic. Additionally, designated parking areas will offer shuttle buses to transport guests from the parking lots to the concert. Checkpoints will be available in the parking areas prior to boarding the buses, as well as at the main concert entrance via O'Malley Blvd. All transported objects are subject to search.

The main entrance to the concert is through the DV door. There will be several check-in areas along O'Malley Blvd leading to the DV gate to help streamline staffing and bag search.

A second entrance will be for people who choose to park in the designated public parking lot. The control will be when they board the bus and then they will be transported to the event area.

It is important to note that the event will take place on the flight line that is completely paved (no grass or shaded areas), so take a mat and / or chair to your liking (subject to the restrictions mentioned above ).
