357 Magnum Ruger - The Ruger SP101 might be my favorite Ruger Revolver, is it the most useful? Well, it all depends on what you plan to do with the SP101.

Is it an everyday concealed carry gun? Maybe, maybe not, it's up to you to decide, but let's dig into it with this Ruger SP101 review.

357 Magnum Ruger

357 Magnum Ruger

The SP101 was introduced in 1989 as a mid-range version of the GP100 and came in several different gauge configurations.

Ruger Sp101, 2.25″, Model Number: 5718, Caliber: 357 Magnum

Five-shot, .38 Special .357 Magnum, and 9mm are some options. Another is the six shot, .327 Federal Magnum and .32 H & R Magnum. There are also eight rifle models, the .22 Long Rifle of the SP101.

The size and weight of the SP101 is good for a revolver. The interesting part of this gun is the fact that the calibers that are installed in it, namely .357 Magnum and .38 Special make it perfect for defense, self-defense, and also, average game, predator defense.

That said, all three beasts are right around 27 ounces. There is also a 4 1/5″ version that comes in 30 ounces.

The weight of the rifle definitely helps reduce recoil, but not much considering you can carry this with a .357 Magnum round.

Now, if you are carrying a .38 special, depending on whether it is +P or not, you will determine your recovery in this revolver using that round.

I like all three types of beasts because you can shoot but it's not too scary and it's not too heavy.

You can conceal a Ruger SP101, it's not very heavy, but it will be heavier than your Glock 19 or your SIG P320 or P365.

The stainless steel is very beautiful, and gives a very good feeling, good and strong to the gun.

Each caliber option has a different capacity in the cylinder, the first three are five-five, the next two are six-five and then, of course, the .22 is eight-five.

The caliber of the .357 Magnum Ruger SP101 is a five-shot cylinder. Other variations include the .327 Federal Magnum, and the .22 Long Rifle.

Push the button is very easy, it is very clean and the cylinder pops up as soon as you press it.

Just press the trigger and press the cylinder and it sprays instantly. One thing I like about the cylinder is the fact that you can easily retract the cylinder, like you are in the Western and it allows you to live revolver by using your little finger to drop the cylinder into the gun the body.

You have a seat in front of you, which is just a seat in front of a black flag. The rear seat is actually part of the gun frame and you can get a pretty easy and clear look, especially when you have your hammer cocked.

Overall for a revolver, I like the look of it. Obviously they do not compare any of the Glock, Trijicon or any of the stupid sights to your polymer pistols, but for revolvers, these pass beautifully.

The trigger in this is a double action, you have a long pool and then you have a small draw.

If your hammer is hammered (single action), you will have a very good break, very good, very clean, and breaks well and is almost perfect.

Now, if you're using it with a double action where your hammer is already, it's long, clean, solid and the break is the same as it would be in the same action, you just have a longer . Wait

Overall, the trigger is really good. I like to trigger, especially in one act, but it also works well in two acts.

Hammers and guns are good. It has a nice text area for your thumb to pull back, up to one level of programming.

It flows well, works well and is very tasty. No motivation, no resistance to pull back.

As with most revolvers, you can change the grips. There are a lot of catchbacks out there. for the Ruger SP101.

The standard grips that come with the SP101 are enough for me. The grip is almost completely rubberized except for a small area that resembles the panel.

One thing you'll notice about these grips is that the left side has a thumb rest. The right one is very completely solid and seems to be perfect for my particular use.

Now, some people may not like these grips but if that's the case, there are other options for you.

Overall aesthetics of the gun is really good. The Ruger SP10 is a stainless steel pistol.

It's beautiful, looks great and overall, it's a great revolver. Black colored grips add a nice touch to an often silver gun.

In general, you have an almost completely silver stainless steel aesthetic. This gun, to me, is the epitome of a modern revolver. Sure, this isn't your run-of-the-mill cowboy gun, but it's not trying to be.

I think it is very important to distinguish these two and this is where the Ruger SP101 really shines.

Shooting the SP101 is an absolute blast. The first time I shot one, I wasn't comfortable with revolvers by any means.

I didn't even have one, but a friend of mine let me shoot his SP101 and I knew from then on, I had to have one.

I have the three inch version and, of course, I bought it as a gift for my son's birth. But in the end I will pass this on to him as a family heirloom. This gun is a solid gun that I know will last forever. Shooting this thing got more fun.

Do I need to shoot all day? Personally, no. I don't think it's worth it because I don't wear this.

I think having this gun is very important to me because it goes to the roots of the gun and the ability and where we have come from, in terms of technology and the world of firearms. .

I personally like the SP101. Ruger did a fantastic job with this, and I recommend anyone to buy one.

They are really tough guns. I don't know how many Ruger is putting out now, but I know they are very popular.

So when they release new ones, it's hard to find them, but you can pick one up from your dealer.

If you are new to revolvers, this is where I would say start. This gun is so good that you can pick it up, shoot it and have fun with it.

You can carry it, it's a great carry gun. It's not super heavy, but it will still do everything you want it to do.

But this gun has a good base and place in the market, if you don't have one, I don't know why.
